August pictures

Since September is here I thought I would post some more August pictures. We're sad summer is over (at least it looks like it right now), but happy our vacation is coming up! Island in the sun, we're coming! But first, here we go - enjoy!

Always a favourite: story time with daddy.

One very exciting morning we found a treasure map in our house! It seems pirates left a treasure hidden somewhere and we needed to find it quick - before they came back! The first treasure map led to another treasure map, and to another and another - until, finally, we found the treasure.

Needless to say, Finn and Lily loved this. Finn started drawing his own treasure maps and wanted to do a treasure hunt "every day".

One of their favourite games is playing horsey. A friend gave them a baby harness, which Lily calls "the saddle", and they can entertain themselves with that thing for hours. Here farmer Finn is hitching up his horsey to the wagon.

And there is nothing like having your best friend over for a whole weekend! Jana and her parents moved to a new house (a stone's throw from ours, yay!), so while Neil helped with the move Jana hung out with us. We made frequent trips to the new house to check on progress.

Our little Lily. I bought her goggles because she kept stealing mine. One day she put on my goggles and announced (in her best "grown up voice"): "Hello tildren, I'm your mom! I'm gonna do an athlon today!"

That's my girl. Lily doesn't TRY athlons, she just does them. Way to go, little triathlete. :)
