We had a really long weekend here, thanks to a holiday on Thursday and Neil having a day off work on Friday. It was nice spending so much time together and just enjoying our little life here.

With all the time in the world in the mornings Finn decided he wanted to do Lily's hair. More was obviously better, and Lily loved it! I was just glad he didn't cut it off this time.
Movie night (note the empty popcorn dish on the table)
quickly turned into a wrestling match.
Friday morning baking (we had guests for coffee, cake, and a BBQ later in the day) with Lily and Lenny while the rest of the family still snoozed. Smile, guys! Thanks, Lenny, nice one.
Some trimming was needed (things are growing like crazy right now)
Finn helped,
Lily picked flowers for Mama
while Mama made strawberry jam from berries fresh off the field
Sunday afternoon we relaxed (Finn looks VERY relaxed with his shirt open and all)
and then had a whole lot of fun with the "Aquaclown" sprinkler
And while I joined in the fun voluntarily,
Neil had to be persuaded a bit
After a little picnic (and I have no idea what the heck Neil is doing in the bush there)
and some acrobatics
we grabbed our towels and marched over to Jana's house.
Where I have a feeling we will spend quite a bit of time this summer
And there are worse places to spend a lot of time at. Fritz and Adelheid (in the background) think so too.
And they didn't even get to eat the pasta with spinach and gorgonzola cheese that Marion cooked! There's a true friend for you. Feeding the folks who invite themselves over before heading off to night shift at the hospital. Thank you! :) I hope you will have a quiet night.
