Not much going on

The past week we inched our way back into our usual routine with just the 6 of us (including the cats ☺). No grandparents nor foster child in the house, Neil back at work - life is sure less exciting that way. Finn and Lily were dismayed to wake up on Monday and find their daddy gone. We still had a good week, though, enjoying the nice weather and numerous activities (if I didn't completely forget about them - like Finn's music class on Tuesday, oops). I got a few good workouts in (a swim at the outdoor pool amongst them, how fun!), and made the invitations for Lily's birthday party next weekend. She was happy to help! We have never had her kiddie party so late after her actual birthday, but the other weekends Finn and Lily had invitations to birthday parties already. Lots of kids born in May it seems!

Saturday morning Lily insisted she needed to sweep the patio at like 6:30am, so who am I to tell her she can't. And of course she insists I take a "pitcher" of her. Not that she loves to strike a pose or anything.

And that is about the extent of my "pitcher"-taking last week! Can you tell we are just taking it easy these days?
