Just to let all of you know, we're back in Germany. And while not necessarily better, I am certainly a little bigger than I used to be. All that good food and those interesting food-like substances I just had to try left my jeans a tad snug around the middle. Thank goodness jeans are the last thing anyone would want to wear here right now as it is hotter than hades.
I apologize that the pictures I promised in the last post never came - we were just having too much fun!
As I am sorting through our Canada pictures and videos I will make a blog post here and there, so stay tuned if you're interested. For now I will leave you with the last picture I took in Canada and the first I took back home.
This is the family at the Calgary airport circa 3pm on June 26th, after a delicious Chinese lunch. Grandma and Grandpa then drove all the way back to Saskatoon. Glad you arrived safely!
And this is Finn in our yard, circa 6pm on June 27th, right after we had arrived. After the flight and before the 3.5 hour train ride he was quite miserable, but eventually he got over the lack of sleep and when we got home he happily started picking berries. The black currants are ripe, the red and white currants, jostaberries and blueberries are almost ripe. Of course, he wouldn't think of eating them, except for the white currants, which are impossible to find at the stores. So, following in his grandpa's footsteps, Finn has decided he needs to dig a root cellar under the tree house which he will use for storing his berries.

Oh, and HAPPY CANADA DAY tomorrow, to all you Canadians and half-Canadians out there!
Enjoy the fireworks!
